“The love of creating ‘something from nothing led me to art.”

I embarked upon my artistic life some years ago, and over the years of tuition and experimentation I am now able to express myself in a diversity of subjects and mediums.

I see colour, shape and energy through new eyes as I am developing my skills. My subjects are varied – I find I have a slightly different take on people and my subjects these days – sometimes realistic and sometimes with ‘artistic license’.

When I began painting, I worked only in oils, however, in recent years, I have been drawn to new techniques and processes through continuing tuition with Brisbane based Artful  Snippets (Jess Milousis). Now I explore the wonders of graphite, charcoal, watercolour, gauche, coloured pencils, pastels, and acrylic and at times have some playtime with modelling clay.

I have my own studio at home in leafy Fig Tree Pocket where I plan and implement my work. I love the solitude of the creative process; however, I also relish the social interaction it provides. Fellow artists provide appreciation and wonderful positive criticism. I continually try to stretch myself by having tuition and developing new techniques.

I am a member of the Dayboro Art Gallery – (Brisbane Qld. Australia), where I exhibit a number of my works.

I have a limited portfolio on my website, details of other works are available and added to from time to time. I also take commissions for specific subjects and media
